September Reading Wrap Up

Hello all!

So September has flown by! This year is going by so quickly and we’re well and truly into Autumn now (yay). I haven’t managed to read as much as I did last month, which was a spectacular reading month, but I’ve still read quite a bit and quite a lot of excellent reads. I’ve loved so many of the books that I’ve read this month, and most of them have been 5 star reads, this has definitely been an amazing reading month. This month I read 6 books and two half(ish) books, and I’m very pleased about it!

34217885The first book I finished this month was Godsgrave by Jay Kristoff. I started this one in August, but I managed to finish it early this month. It feels like so long ago that I read this but it’s only been less than a month. I loved this book, and I can’t wait for Darkdawn to come out next year (less than a year now)! I wrote a review of Godsgrave which you can find here, if you fancy giving it a read.

23403402The next book I read was the start of a trilogy: the Shades of Magic trilogy by Victoria Schwab. I absolutely loved this trilogy! It was so good and I can’t wait to read the Steel Prince graphic novels later this year, I love the world and I can’t wait to read more about it. The characters in this trilogy are brilliant, the world building was incredible, and the story was wonderful. I loved everything about it. I wrote a review on this trilogy recently as I couldn’t stop thinking about it or talking about it, and recommending it. It’s very quickly become one of my favourite series’ and Victoria Schwab very quickly became one of my new favourite authors. She’s wonderful.

29385546Next up I read Warcross by Marie Lu. I loved this book as well, and found it really fun to read. The premise of the book reminded me of Ready Player One, another book that I enjoyed, and I wasn’t disappointed. I liked the setting, the characters, the concept of the Warcross games. It was all so interesting to read! I’m hoping to read Wildcard in the next couple of months, as I’m eager to see what happens next in the story.

18180495Then, I read Vicious by Victoria Schwab (more Schwab – yay)! I love love loved this book! The characters were really interesting and really well written. I loved reading about them and seeing how their relationships changed, especially Eli and Victor’s. At first I thought I wouldn’t enjoy the structure of the book as it jumps around in time for each chapter. However, I think this worked really well for this story, but went into more detail of that in my review! It’s another 5 star read from Victoria Schwab, and I can’t wait to read the rest of her books soon. Of course, I can’t wait to read Vengeful as well, especially after the last chapter of Vicious!!

34107177Next I read the first book in my Rereading Old Favourites series for my blog. I started and finished Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban this month. I love this book as much now as I did the first time I read it, and as much as the last time I read it. I’ll be writing a full wrap up review of this for the series at the start of October, so keep an eye out for that!

And I’ve started reading City of Ghosts by Victoria Schwab, but I doubt I’ll be finishing it by this evening as I’m pretty tired and just want to chill and go to bed early tonight.

That’s my September reading wrap up. Have you read any of these books or do you plan on reading any? Let me know!
