I won’t be posting a WWW Wednesday post this week as it would be exactly the same as last week’s post so I thought I’d update you on what I’m currently reading and give you some life updates.
I’m currently reading Illuminae (still) by Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff. So far I’m about 140 pages in and I’m enjoying it. It’s definitely a very different way to format a book, but I think it’s great. The changing format throughout make it really interesting to read, and helps to enhance the narrative by showing the kinds of documents that most novels would just tell the reader about.
Hopefully I’ll be able to read more on Friday when I have some more free time, but until then I’ll have to stick to my commutes to work (which is only about 10/15 minutes) and my lunch breaks.
Since starting my new job I’ve not had as much time as I previously did to read and blog. I’ve been trying to fit in my reading when I can (on the train and on my lunch breaks) and sometimes when I get home. However I usually don’t get home until about half past 7, so by that point I’m pretty tired and want to spend time with my family and boyfriend. I’m going to try and catch up on posts on my days off and write whatever posts I’ve been meaning to write through the week on these days. I’m aiming to schedule as many posts as I can , and I’m trying to read as much as possible. I’m going to get a subscription to either Audible or Scribd so I can start listening to more audiobooks which will definitely help me in terms of getting reading done. I’m also going to see which audiobooks my local library have on their app so I can listen to them on the train etc (although the selection of both audio and ebooks from my local library isn’t great – most of them are unavailable or not the books I want to read).
Anyway, that’s my quick reading/life update for this week. I’m hoping that by this time next week I’ll have finished Illuminae, but we’ll see!
Thanks for reading, and I hope you’re all having a fantastic reading week!
