NEWTS Readathon: Week 1

It’s the first week of the readathon and I am excited! I’m really looking forward to reading all of the books on my TBR. I’ve decided to make weekly posts about how my progress is going, and then at the end I’ll give my overall thoughts and my wrap up!

Also, apologies for the lack of posts recently. I’m trying to get back into the swing of blogging regularly.

Day 1:

I didn’t get a lot of time to read on the first day of the readathon. I had to go to a work event so didn’t have a lot of time to read. However, I did manage to listen to a couple of hours of my first audiobook (The Flatshare by Beth O’Leary). I only managed to read 2 pages of my first physical book (An Enchantment of Ravens by Margaret Rogerson) as I was so tired from being up at 5am and travelling to and from the event.

Day 2:

I read a bit more of An Enchantment of Ravens today, but mostly I listened to The Flatshare. I worked all day so only managed to listen to the audiobook on the way to and from work but I read some of the physical book on my lunch break.

Day 3:

I listened to quite a bit of The Flatshare today, I’m really enjoying this book! I can’t wait to see what happens in it. I didn’t read any more of An Enchantment of Ravens at all today, I’m enjoying it, but with working, I’ve not had a chance to pick it up much.

Day 4:

I read absolutely nothing today.

Day 5:

I listened to a lot more of The Flatshare and it’s getting so good. I don’t want this book to end!

Day 6:

The Flatshare got even better somehow?! I feel so much for the characters, Tiffy is such an excellent character, and Leon is just so nice. I love their relationship!

Day 7:

I finished The Flatshare this afternoon on my walk into town and I absolutely adored it! It was such a good book; the story was very interesting and I loved the unusual way the story panned out. I gave this book 5/5 stars and my review will (probably) be coming at the end of the readathon!
I very nearly DNF’d An Enchantment of Ravens today, but I’ve decided to power through and see if I enjoy it a bit more. I know I can get through this book pretty quickly anyway!

End of the week progress:

Total pages read: 454
Classes passed: An in Herbology (The Flatshare)

  1. It’s now the 10th of August, but I finally achieved my Outstanding in History of Magic (at 1.30am haha) and I read Shadow and Bone, Truthwitch & The Dragon Republic ♥ I hope I can achieve all of my grades, and I hope you have fun with the rest of the readathon!
