NetGalley Book Tag

I was tagged by the lovely Siobhan from siobhansnovelties to do the NetGalley Book Tag. I’ve never used NetGalley, or any other arc website, but I’ll answer these using general books/places I buy books.

  • Link back to the tag’s creator: Kourtni at Kourtni Reads
  • Thank and link back to the person who tagged you.
  • Answer the questions the best you can. If you don’t use NetGalley, you can substitute other sites or places where you get books!
  • Tag a few people to do this too!

Auto-Approved | Who’s One Author Whos Books You Automatically Want to Read, regardless of What They Are About?
V.E. Scwab! I love every book I’ve read of hers so far and I can’t wait to read her future books! She always manages to create such amazing worlds and characters, I’m so glad I started reading her books last year.

Request | What Makes You Want to Request a Book on NetGalley?
I’ve never requested any books from NetGalley or publishers, but I really want to. A question for you all: what’s the best way to go about this? Email? Social Media? Please let me know!

Feedback Ratio | Do You Review Every Book You Read? If Not, How Do You Decide What Books to Review?
I tried. I really tried doing this, but I read so many books last month, that I don’t know if I can catch up on all of the reviews!! Now, I’m just going to be writing reviews for a couple of books a month, maybe the ones I’m most anticipating, or the ones that stick out most for me. I don’t think I can write reviews for every book now.

Badges | If You Could Create One Badge to Display on Your Blog, What Would It Be for?
Ummm the ‘I can’t stop buying books’ badge.

Wish for It | What’s One Book That You Are Absolutely Dying to Read?
Okay I’m going to give 2 for this answer: one book that’s already out, and one that’s not out for a couple of months. The book that’s out: Darkdawn by Jay Kristoff, and the book that’s out soon: The Toll by Neal Shusterman.

2019 NetGalley Challenge | What Was the Last Book That You Received as an ARC That You Reviewed? If You’ve Never Received One, What’s the Last Book You Reviewed?
I’ve never had an ARC but the last book I reviewed was Call It What You Want by Brigid Kemmerer (as part of my Multiple Mini Book Review post).

I tag: anyone who’s reading this and fancies answering the questions!

  1. This is a fun tag! I’ve never requested an ARC directly from a publisher but NetGalley is super easy. You just sign up then click ‘Request’ on a book, it asks you to tick whether you like the author, cover or description, then you get an email telling you if you’ve been approved or not! Some books are available to read instantly without the need to be approved – I’d recommend reviewing a couple of these first so you have some feedback on your profile!
